Who We Are

The  Taft Public Library system is located at 501 Green Ave. The  Taft  Public Library provides services to all residents living within the Taft boundaries with services available to all others. 

Services provide include StoryTime with Mr. Kippy every Wednesday at 10am during the months from August to May.  In June, Mr. Kippy brings the summer reading program on Wednesdays at 9am and 10am. 

Taft Public Library is the center for community information.  We also are a member of the South Texas Library System consortium and provide eBooks to our patrons through Overdrive.org. 

The Library also has begun the "1000 Books Before Kindergarten" for children up until 5 years of age.  Each child is given incentives upon completion of different levels, and will receive a book bag and T-shirt upon completion.

We also provide computers, internet connectivity, wireless internet, copy services, and computer classes may be scheduled during the year.
